This particular camera comes with a rare wide 60mm f3.5 (40mm full frame equivalent) lens rather than the usual 85mm f3.7.
Made from 1968 to 1982, the Mamiya C220 twin lens reflex is a very capable twin-lens reflex with interchangeable lenses. It is a simplified version of the Mamiya C330. It lacks the parallax indicator, the interchangeable viewing screens and the shutter has to be cocked separately from the film advance. But it is also one of the most successful TLRs to date, with a top-class built quality and the very unique possibility to change lenses and accessories.
Like the C330, the Mamiya C220 is a very capable camera : picture superposition, 120 and 220 rollfilm compatibility, and, as it is fully mechanical, it doesn't require any battery. The very good Mamiya Sekor lenses all have their own central shutter with flash-sync (X and M) at all speeds.
The Mamiya C220 is an excellent choice if you are looking for a well-built, flexible and well-featured TLR system.
