With its large diameter and beautiful glass elements, the Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 Ai-S is an impressive lens to look at. This lens shook the photography industry when it came out since it’s the fastest 85mm lens in its class for 35mm SLR photography. There were stories that I heard about people switching over to Nikon just so that they can shoot with this lens.
