Sitting comfortably between 35 and 50mm, the 40mm f1.2 is a very practical focal length for an "all-in-one" lens. The built quality is amongst the best in the business and the lens is a joy to use. These lenses stand out vs the competition by incorporating electronic contacts which allow the camera to capture the aperture value and zoom in the image once the user moves the focus ring, providing better focus accuracy at shallow depth of field apertures.
