A sister company of DZOFILM, Thypoch builds on a decade of industrial optical expertise and precision craftsmanship to create mirrorless lenses that blend character and high resolution for today's sensors.

The Simera-C full-frame lenses, ranging from 16, 21mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm to 100mm can handle most kinds of shooting situations.  Equipped with a 16-blade iris and fast aperture, these lenses effortlessly produce unparalleled spatial visual impact, enhancing the immersive quality of the imagery. The 16mm is the latest release in the set.

Over the past few years, cinema cameras have become remarkably smaller, driving the demand for compact, high-performance cine lenses. The Simera-C responds to this need by blending the design legacy of classic rangefinder lenses with DZOFILM’s cinema DNA and cutting-edge optical technology. This fusion achieves a perfect balance between the precision of still photography and the cinematic quality of motion picture imagery within an incredibly compact form.

Exquisite, high quality optics.

The Simera-C lenses are built with aspherical, ED, and high-refractive-index elements, enabling them to deliver ultra-high resolution and superior control over chromatic aberration, making them ideal for 8K high-resolution video production. Moreover, these lenses incorporate high-refractive index multi-coating to minimize flares and ghosting. Even in strong backlit conditions, the Simera-C lenses deliver high contrast and overall clean image.

High Contrast for Dramatic Depth

The creamy bokeh and moderate high-contrast render the layers of light and shadow with intricate detail, with a striking contrast between highlights and shadows that accentuates the subject, adding dimensionality and spatial depth to the frame. Simera-C is perfectly compatible with high-resolution digital cinema cameras that provides broader dynamic range and rich textures, enhancing the flexibility of post-production.

Lightweight durability, unrestricted mobility

Crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, the all-metal body of the Simera-C series balances strength and lightness. Each lens weighs between just 369-491 grams, slightly heavier than a 330ml soda can but with a more compact form. This breaks free from the traditional constraints of cinema lenses regarding size and weight, allowing seamless use across handheld, gimbal, or drone setups. The internal dust and splash-resistant design ensure reliable performance even in the most challenging shooting environments.

Pairing the extremely compact Simera-C lenses with autofocus systems like DJI Focus Pro streamlines equipment handling and eases the workload on crew, enhancing shooting flexibility. Additionally, when mounted on the DJI Ronin 4D FLEX system and Sony Venice Rialto Extension, the Simera-C lenses can effortlessly capture challenging angles like low shots, over-the-shoulder perspectives, and tight car spaces. This setup not only expands the cinematic expression but also significantly boosts the agility, handling, and creative scope of the filming.
