A sister company of DZOFILM, Thypoch builds on a decade of industrial optical expertise and precision craftsmanship to create mirrorless lenses that blend character and high resolution for today's sensors.

The Simera series, meaning "today" in Greek, is crafted for professional photographers seeking exceptional performance. With F/1.4 prime lenses featuring multiple special elements and FLE design, the series delivers stunning resolution and a cinematic aesthetic. Its 14-16 aperture blades create smooth, dreamy bokeh, making it a high-quality, fast-aperture collection for modern visual storytelling.

The Simera 21mm f/1.4 ASPH is a breakthrough in ultra-wide-angle, large-aperture lens design. Ten years after the first 21mm f/1.4 lens was created, Simera 21mm redefines what this focal length can achieve. With 13 elements in 11 groups, including advanced special elements and high-precision aspherical lenses, it achieves an impressive minimum focus distance of 0.23m.

The floating lens design ensures smooth background separation and soft, beautiful bokeh even at wide-open aperture. The lens delivers almost imperceptible distortion, minimal chromatic aberration, and sharpness from the center to the edges of the frame. It adds a rich, cinematic texture to low-light scenes and blends wide perspectives with fine details, making it a perfect tool for creative expression.

The 21mm focal length is a favorite in cinematic storytelling, known for its ability to show expansive spaces or dramatic details. From the days of Super 35 film to today’s full-frame cameras, this focal length has been loved for its calm yet slightly surreal look. Drawing on years of experience creating fast 21mm cinema lenses, we’ve brought the precision and depth of cinema optics into a lens made for everyday artistic use. Weighing just 428g, this lightweight full-frame lens combines ultra-wide perspective with ultimate close-up capabilities, giving you the freedom to shoot everything from sweeping landscapes to intricate details with ease.
