A sister company of DZOFILM, Thypoch builds on a decade of industrial optical expertise and precision craftsmanship to create mirrorless lenses that blend character and high resolution for today's sensors.

The Simera series, meaning "today" in Greek, is crafted for professional photographers seeking exceptional performance. With F/1.4 prime lenses featuring multiple special elements and FLE design, the series delivers stunning resolution and a cinematic aesthetic. Its 14-16 aperture blades create smooth, dreamy bokeh, making it a high-quality, fast-aperture collection for modern visual storytelling.

Capture Cinematic Visuals in Everyday Scenes

As the fourth lens in the Simera f/1.4 series, the Simera 75mm f/1.4 ASPH. continues the legacy of the series with its blend of modern optical technology and retro design. This compact, high-speed medium-telephoto lens offers a 49mm image circle, making it compatible with sensors larger than full-frame, expanding its potential for use with medium format systems. With the same optical design as the Simera-C 75mm cinema lens, it is equipped with 16 aperture blades, ensuring a perfectly round aperture shape at all aperture settings from f/1.4 to f/16, creating a distinctive cinematic image style.

Crafted Precision for Ultimate Pure Imagery

The Simera 75mm features an optical design incorporating 1 aspherical lens, 2 high refractive index (HRI) lenses, and 2 extra-low dispersion (ED) lenses. This advanced formula effectively controls chromatic aberration and flare, ensuring exceptional sharpness and clarity from the center to the edges, with natural color reproduction and vivid detail resolution. Thypoch's high-precision aspherical technology nearly eliminates the "onion ring" effect, delivering pure, smooth bokeh that minimizes visual distractions and enhances the artistic depth and dimensionality of the image.

Cine-standard Optics, Superb Performance

With 16 aperture blades, the Simera 75mm f/1.4 ensures a perfectly round diaphragm from f/1.4 to f/16, delivering aesthetically pleasing bokeh and artistic starburst effects. Featuring the same optical design as the Simera-C 75mm T1.5 cinema lens, it offers natural, soft focus roll-off at wide apertures. This creates a visually compelling narrative, with a shallow depth of field and exquisite out-of-focus rendering that enhances the subject and effortlessly creates a 3D pop effect. The nuanced interplay of light and shadow gives everyday images a cinematic depth and visual appeal.
