SIGMA is an independent Japanese manufacturer of lenses and cameras, founded in 1961 and still family-owned. Its lenses are designed and built in its own factory in Aizu, Fukushima. The line-up is organised into three series: Art for the highest optical quality, Contemporary for compact and versatile everyday lenses, and Sports for long, fast telephoto lenses. SIGMA makes autofocus lenses for Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z, Fujifilm X and L-Mount cameras, and is a founding member of the L-Mount Alliance.
