The BLAZAR MANTIS series is a lineup of 5 tiny full frame anamorphic lenses with classic anamorphic look. Thanks to their unique oval aperture, they deliver 2x squeeze look in a 1.33x compact body. They come with ARRI PL or Sony E mount and can be adapted to a wide variety of mounts.

Oval Aperture
Equipped with a consistent oval-shaped aperture, the Mantis lens is designed to replicate the timeless aesthetics of a 2x anamorphic image, providing oval-shaped bokeh, enhanced depth, and cinematic character while utilizing a more accessible 1.33x squeeze.
Amber Flare
The Mantis lens produces a distinctive flare color that falls between neutral and amber, striking a perfect balance that enhances the image with a warm, cinematic glow. This carefully tuned flare adds character without overpowering the frame, giving scenes a subtle golden warmth that evokes emotion and elevates the overall visual tone.
1.25ft/0.38m Close Focus
Mantis lenses feature an impressive close focus capability, starting from just 1.25 feet (0.38 meters), allowing you to get up close without sacrificing that signature anamorphic character.
Interchangeable Mount
PL/EF/E/RF/L/Z/X MOUNT
The lens is offered in native PL or Sony E mount, with multiple adaptor options :
- Blazar's mount-change adaptors to replace PL by E/EF/L/RF/Z/X mount
- Viltrox's external, removable adaptors that fit on top of PL mount : E/L/RF/Z adaptors. We recommend Viltrox adaptors if you intend to change mount regularly.
Please make sure to order the adaptors you need in addition to the lens.
