Full-frame-compatible lenses that combine superb optical performance with a compact form factor, perfectly suited to smaller and lighter modern mirrorless cameras.

New standards of optical performance for the Contemporary line

The 20mm F2 achieves the highest level of optical performance even at the widest aperture, from the centre of the image to the periphery. Three high-precision glass-molded aspherical elements, one SLD element and one FLD element suppress a range of optical aberrations, and sagittal coma flare is suppressed for accurate reproduction of bright points of light, which is especially important for night sky photography.

Use of multiple high-precision aspherical glass molded lenses

Glass molding molds are controlled to an accuracy of ±5 nanometers or smaller, giving good aberration correction in a compact lens size.

Sigma's unique Nano Porous Coating

Combined with the Super Multi-Layer Coating, NPC uses porous silica with nano-sized air holes to lower reflectance more than conventional coatings, sharply reducing flare and ghosting for clear, high-contrast results when shooting into bright light.

Exceptional I series build quality with a compact form-factor

All I series lenses have an all-metal construction. Precision-cut aluminum parts give the barrel a sleek finish and superb durability, with a tactile, ergonomic feel and an aperture ring designed for intuitive use.

Fast, quiet autofocus and in-camera corrections

A stepping motor provides smooth, quiet, high-speed AF with Face/Eye Detection AF and video AF support. Compatible cameras can apply in-camera corrections for peripheral illumination, chromatic aberration and distortion. The mount is rubber-sealed against dust and water drops.

Magnetic metal lens cap

A dedicated magnetic metal lens cap is included, in addition to a normal plastic cap. It clips to the front of the lens magnetically.

Magnetic metal lens cap holder CH-11 (sold separately)
