The Canon nFD 85mm f1.2 L is one of a kind : the fastest lens ever produced by Canon for FD mount, it is also one of the most sought after. Its built and image quality are identified by its "L" sign and its famous "Canon red" line on the body. A very exclusive lens !
It is part of the newer "NewFD" or "nFD" line of lenses from Canon, with lighter compact plastic bodies. They were produced for film cameras and can be adapted to multiple modern DSLRs and mirrorless bodies (see below). They use the same FD mount as the earlier SSC versions.
