This lens is a very fast 50mm vintage prime, highly regarded by collectors and enthusiasts. Multiple versions have been produced over the years, this is the Super Takumar version.
It is part of the Takumar line of lenses, produced by the company that would become Pentax. Still to date, these lenses are highly regarded for their built quality, smooth focus and aperture rings. They were produced for film cameras in M42 mount and can be adapted as per below chart.
