EVO represents the fusion of Evolution and Enjoyment — designed to let the joy of creation grow naturally through everyday shooting.

The Viltrox AF 26mm F2.8 EVO redefines what a pancake lens can be. Within its ultra-slim form factor, it combines uncompromising optical performance, responsive autofocus, and playful, personality-driven design details.

Among full-frame pancake lenses currently on the market, it stands uniquely apart by featuring both a dedicated aperture ring and a separate focus ring within such an exceptionally compact body.

Every EVO series lens is built around the balance of lightweight portability, reliable performance, and pure shooting enjoyment — removing unnecessary bulk so creators can stay focused on observation, storytelling, and the simple pleasure of pressing the shutter.

Ultra-Compact Pancake Design with Dual Control Rings

Designed to make full-frame photography truly portable, the AF 26mm F2.8 EVO combines an ultra-slim pancake design with a dedicated aperture ring and separate focus ring for intuitive control — features rarely found in full-frame pancake lenses. Its durable 130g all-metal construction balances portability, premium handling, and long-term reliability, making it an ideal everyday carry companion for full-frame creators.

Compact Optical Design with Balanced Image Quality

Featuring an optical design of 8 elements in 6 groups, including 2 Aspherical elements and 1 HR element, the AF 26mm F2.8 EVO delivers impressive image quality in an ultra-compact 130g pancake form factor. Excellent central sharpness at F2.8 enables confident wide-open shooting in a compact everyday-carry design.

Combined with in-camera correction, the lens achieves natural rendering with minimal visible distortion, making it well suited for street photography, architecture, environmental portraits, travel documentation, and everyday snapshots.

Efficient & Responsive Autofocus

Powered by an gear-type STM focusing system, the lens delivers fast, efficient autofocus in a compact design, helping creators confidently capture fleeting street moments, moving subjects, and everyday candid scenes.

Versatile 26mm Field of View

Offering an expansive 81.2° angle of view, the 26mm focal length strikes a natural balance between immersive scene coverage and clear subject definition. Versatile enough for street photography, documentary storytelling, travel, architecture, landscapes, and everyday moments, it adapts effortlessly to a wide range of creative situations.

0.2m Minimum Focusing Distance

With a minimum focusing distance of just 0.2m, the lens enables expressive close-up compositions.

Whether capturing food photography, product details, creative still life subjects, or casual close-up snapshots during travel and daily shooting, the short focusing distance expands creative flexibility while maintaining the convenience of an ultra-portable setup.

Square Hood Signature Style

TPaired with the new colour editions (Gray and Silver), the square hood enhances both form and function. It gives the lens a more distinctive appearance while helping control stray light and protect the front element during shooting.

The black version DOESN'T include the square hood

Built for Everyday Reliability

Continuing the EVO series’ durability-focused design philosophy, the lens features enhanced dust and splash resistance around the mount area to better withstand dust, moisture, and changing outdoor environments.

Designed to support creators with greater confidence and reliability during everyday shooting.
