It includes an amazing set of capabilities in a compact body : an excellent 28mm f2.8 lens with autofocus, a quick shutter, a clear viewfinder, probably the best matrix metering you can find, and three modes : full auto, aperture-priority, and manual modes.

In addition to this, it looks gorgeous. The mechanical dials on the top plate tell you the aperture, focus distance, number of frames taken and exposure compensation, with simplicity and accuracy. And they add an unmatched vintage look to this camera.
