This Canon FD 50mm f1.4 S.S.C. is part of the "S.S.C" line of FD lenses from Canon, with steel bodies and Super Spectra Coatings for improved colours and contrast. They were produced for film cameras and are considered some of the best lenses for video work.
This FD 50mm f1.4 S.S.C. has been modded with SIMMOD video gear, considered the best in the industry. The original lens (available HERE) has been fitted with SIMMOD Follow Focus Gear, Cine Front Ring, and Cine Front Cap. All are removable.
The lens is available in two options :
- original FD mount and aperture (can be used on mirrorless cameras with an adaptor)
- converted to Canon EF, with declicked aperture ring, using SIMMOD EDMIKA conversion kit (non-removable).
