This 75mm f1.5 is inspired from the very successful CARL ZEISS BIOTAR 75mm f1.5 from 1952, a lens which has retained a cult following as the "king of swirly bokeh". The Russians copied it as the Helios 40 with an 85mm f1.5 specification.
These lenses generate oval-shaped bokeh balls creating a circle, a swirl around the center subject. A look which is very unique and allows for beautiful creative possibilities. With this new release from TTArtisan, you can get the same bokeh and overall lens specifications without running the risk of dust, scratches and air bubbles inside the lens (common in vintage lenses), all for a fraction of the price.
